The Title Register shows subsisting data only. This means that previous ownerships and mortgages are not shown on the current Register. Because there are many reasons why people would want to look at previous entries the Land Registry have made prior Copies of the register and plan available.

The combination of having a copy of the Prior Title Register and an up to date copy of the Current Title Register is helpful in resolving anomalies and checking that the correct Title has been transferred to you as the new owner.

Title Register and Title Plan

These two documents are the official documents proving ownership (or non-ownership) of a property. They are packed with information relating to ownership, tenure, purchase price, mortgages, date of purchase, easements and covenants. Read together, they contain all the information needed to prove ownership. Sometimes it is wise to obtain further details of the covenants and easements, which can be done by obtaining the Associated Documents.

Associated Documents

Our Associated Documents search will provide you with a copy of all the Associated Documents that are available, save for any registered mortgages. If you require copies of these please use the comments box to say so. Further, if you are interested in a particular Deed only, please state in the comments box the nature of the Deed (Transfer, Conveyance, etc) and the year it was created, if possible.
